Carmen Wilson brings clients over 20 years experience in integrated communications and sports marketing at the national level. As a seasoned veteran in the field of professional player development, Carmen has assisted hundreds of athletes in developing their image and platform both as players and as people.
As president and CEO Good Carma, LLC, she built communications and community outreach strategies for high-profile athletes including Alonzo Mourning Charities, LeBron James Family Foundation, Dwyane Wade Foundation, The National Alliance to End Abuse, ItzNotok, The Edgerrin James Foundation, Clinton Portis, Santana Moss, Caron Butler, and Baron Davis. She specializes in matching athlete’s interests with change the world programming to address the greatest community needs.
Carmen's years with Nike and The Miami Heat allowed her to take her passion for creating integrated community initiatives and develop platforms that help corporate brands maximize and achieve their goals and objectives. By creating cause-related marketing strategies, she has been able to work with sports and entertainment brands to enhance overall marketing strategies by leveraging celebrities and athletes to heighten awareness of a product or brand.
For seven years with the Miami Heat, Carmen managed the team's Publicity and Player Program departments, supervising the overall public relations efforts and player involvement.
Carmen continued her professional career with Nike, where she managed marketing programs for key brand assets including Kevin Garnett, Gary Payton, Vince Carter, Mia Ham, Lisa Leslie and others. This included reviewing advertising campaigns and executing player/talent appearances for corporate initiatives.
Carmen helped establish the brand, position, overall marketing strategy and grand opening of NBACity, the National Basketball Association and Hard Rock Café's first-ever themed restaurant.
