Christopher Garrett is currently a partner at Impact Strategies a leading issue and crisis communications consulting firm headquartered in Washington DC.

In this capacity he provides communications counsel, training, and advice for clients facing a wide array of issues and challenges including: high profile crises, government inquiries, corporate restructurings and privatizations, as well sensitive political, legal, and regulatory matters.

As a media consultant, Mr. Garrett has worked with a diverse range of corporate, association, and institutional clients, including Wal-Mart, Emmis Communications, the Association of Builders and Contractors, Blank Rome LLP, Sutherland Asbill and Brennan, Radio One Inc, Independence Federal Savings Bank, and the Howard University Board of Trustees.

In addition, Mr. Garrett has served as a crisis communications consultant during numerous complex litigation matters involving high profile individuals including Prime Minister Michael Misick of the Turks and Caicos Islands, Senator Larry Craig, Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, Mayor Bill Campbell, and actor Wesley Snipes.

Mr. Garrett has also lectured and consulted internationally on matters in Africa, India, and the Caribbean on issues involving media strategy, managing public opinion, and addressing the unique communications challenges faced by companies and political leaders in emerging economies and developing democracies.

A native Texan, Mr. Garrett attended the University of Texas at Austin, and earlier in his career served at the Republican National Committee and as a spokesperson for the family of Coretta and Martin Luther King Jr.
